Music and film project developed by Lena Ledoff, Russian artist living in Łódź.
Music composed by Isaac Dunayevsky (1900-1955) for such famous films as “The world is laughing”, “Circus” or “My Lyubov” is juxtaposed with the music of composers of the younger generation: Mikael Tariverdiev (1931-1996), author of music for over 130 films, including “Seventeen Moments of Spring” and “Irony of Fate”; the father of Russian electronic music, Eduard Artiemiev (“Stalker” by Andrei Tarkovsky), Aleksandr Zatsepin, brilliant author of hit film songs (“Diamond hand” and other comedies by Leonid Gayday) and the cult 1990s rock band “Nautilus Pompilius” and its charismatic leader Vyacheslav Butusov (soundtrack to the film “Brother” by Aleksei Balabanov).
Lena Ledoff (piano) is accompanied by: Łódź’s Kazimierz Dejmek Teatr Nowy actor, Przemysław Dąbrowski and a student of the Łódź Academy of Music, Patryk Wagner (electronic sounds).
The “My Lubov” project is a tribute to the “golden age” of Soviet cinema, which was an inspiration to entire generations of Polish moviegoers and professional filmmakers.
Written by: Lena Ledoff, performed by: Lena Ledoff, Przemysław Dąbrowski and Patryk Wagner
